I get an error message when sending email through LXSoftware: "Send Mail failed to send message."

When attempting to send an email (Email PF or Contact Support) within the LXSoftware you will receive the error "Send Mail failed to send message." when:

  1. You do not have a MAPI compliant email program installed and configured on your computer. Please contact you Internet Service Provider for instructions on setting up a MAPI compliant email client for your email. Once configured correctly the LXSoftware will automatically detect and use this program.
  2. Under Windows Vista you may receive this error if your email program is already opened when clicking on the 'Email PF' or 'Contact Support' option. Microsoft has been notified of this problem and it will hopefully be fixed in Service Pack 1. To work around the issue, close your email client and click the appropriate email option in the LXSoftware again. Please contact LXSupport@lafayetteinstrument.com if you have any questions.
