In the past, the quote process was a slow, arduous struggle. The quote process was held back by time zone incompatiblity, busy staff, among a myriad of other reasons. For this reason we have developed a system for our customers that will greatly speed up the process. The Quote Request System is an automated system for all of our LafayetteInstrument.com members that tracks the products that our members have flagged as products of interest by the simple task of clicking a link located on every product page. Then it will send an email containing the price of said products upon filling out a small form.

Figure 1 highlights the Add to Quote Request Button. Non-members (and logged-out members) are presented the option to either login using their unique member id and password, or to register a new account in order to unlock the Quote Request System. Once a user has created an account and logged in, they may access the quote request feature using the provided "Add to Quote" link. Once a product has been added to your quote request, you will be taken to the quote request main-hub (Figure 2).

As you can see from Figure 2, you may enter as many products to the Quote Request as you desire. There is no longer any need to send a different request for each product. We would also like to send you a formal quotation (optional) that includes a product selection review, shipping cost estimate and any quantity or package discounts that may apply to your request. To continue the quote process follow the button denoted with a blue outline and a Lafayette Instrument Logo.

Upon choosing the products desired, if the user has chosen to receive a shipping estimate he/she will be prompted to choose a saved shipping address or to add another shipping address (as denoted in Figure 3). Once again, follow the blue outlined buttons to continue!

Finally, the user must verify the information that he/she has entered into the provided forms. A user may return to any point in the Quote Request process to edit his/her information. When the information is adequately proofread, the user may submit the Quote Request. Our website will send the user an email containing an itemized price for each of the products that was requested.
